Screen printing

Screen printing lays ink through a stencil, one screen per colour, so it is fast and cheap once the quantity is there and the design stays the same across the run. It is the right call for event tees, team shirts, and any large single-design order.

Screen printing is the method behind most of the branded shirts you own, for good reason: once the screens are made, each print is fast and the ink is durable through hundreds of washes. We make one screen per ink colour, so a one or two-colour logo is inexpensive and a full-colour photo is not the right fit (that is what digital is for). The economics reward quantity: the screen setup is a one-time cost, so the more shirts across it, the lower the per-piece price drops.

What moves your quote is simple and worth understanding before you order: the number of ink colours, the number of print locations (front, back, sleeve each need their own screens), and the quantity. We proof colour and placement before the run so it is right the first time, and we print in Montreal, so a hard event date is not at the mercy of a border crossing.

Frequently asked questions

How many colours can you screen print?
Several, but each colour is its own screen and cost, so simpler logos are cheaper. Full-colour art is usually better on digital.
What is the minimum order?
Screen printing pays off with quantity because of the one-time screen setup. Tell us your count and we will say if screen or digital is the smarter call.
Will the print survive washing?
Yes, cured screen-print ink is among the most durable finishes, good through hundreds of washes.
